Golden Puppies

Check back soon
Once posts are published, you’ll see them here.

We are a hobby breeder that has been doing it for 19 years.  My husband bred his Golden 19 years ago for me to have a puppy and we enjoyed the whole process so much we have continued doing it.  Now we have 4 boys and they enjoy the puppies also

We have 3 goldens, Reef (who is insanely old at 16!), Clover (8 years old) and Penny (5 years old)  We typically breed 1 litter a year.  Penny is our only female we breed right now.  This litter we bred Penny with a stud from Gettysburg (Martin Shoes in Gettysburg if anyone has seen the Golden in the shop....thats the male!).

The puppies are raised in our home so they get lots of snuggles and attention from us and the kids.  They will all go home around 8 weeks with their first set of shots and vet checked, a little bag of dog food, their AKC paperwork to register him/her and a blanket (that stinks but smells like their litter mates).

The litter was 8 puppies with 2 females and 6 males.  Both females have been spoken for already so we have males still available.  Please reach out with any questions or if you would like to come by and see them!

Below is pics of mom (Penny) and dad (Jasper) and also pictures of puppies from past litters.  We used to be called Country Acres Kennel but have since moved so thats why the change in name if you knew us before as that.

Birth ended up being fairly uneventful.  I was in class on Monday the 15th (I'm in nursing school) when my mom called to tell me she started having puppies.  She had 3 by the time I got home and then she stalled for a while (about 5 hours).  I called to multiple vets but no one wanted to see her or  just wanted to do a c-section.  So I figured that would be last resort if possible, and gave her lot of Tums (they are high in calcium and help labor).  I got her up and moving around the yard for a bit, and it started labor up for her again.  That one puppy was born breach, but the rest were all waiting to come out after him!  She's a great mom and all puppies are growing and healthy and chunky!

Week 2

I love when they open their eyes!!  One day short of 2 weeks the pups started opening their eyes.  They are getting lots of snuggles.  Bedtimes are best with a book and a puppy

Week 3

They all have their eyes open and are walking around!  Now they are starting to play together and can see us coming so they get excited when we come in the room.  Puppy snuggles are amazing!  And they all got their nails clipped and dewormed this past week.

Week 4 and 5

Still growing crazy fast!!  They have been dewormed again this past week and nails clipped again.  Poor mama gets all scratched up with their nails by this point.  They are cute little fluff balls now!  They have their vet appt set up for Friday June 6th to get checked out and their first set of shots.

One was standing out on the ground with my sons one evening and it sneezed and flipped itself backwards from it.  They are still so doppy it's adorable.
